A basement is square footage waiting to be used, and a stairwell is a chance to make a statement. We finish basements from the studs out: framing, trim, doors and flooring, so downstairs feels like the rest of the house. And we build stair railings to match, from traditional wood balusters to clean modern horizontal-metal rails, set solid and finished sharp. Feature walls, built-ins and the odd custom carpentry job downstairs, all part of the same crew.
